 Which Colony
do you choose?

Scattered around the world, Colonies try to survive while overcoming their differences and fighting for a common cause.
Will they succeed in their mission to save the planet,
or will their efforts be in vain?

Merindol

The society maintains an intensely meritocratic ethos, expelling individuals unable to withstand the relentless pressure of internal and external competition. The majority strongly opposes all forms of religion and anything considered immeasurable or "invisible," while a minority acknowledges the existence of enigmatic forces beyond human control.

Sisimiut

The society is founded on the principle of "protection," where the Sisimiut people make every effort to safeguard and nurture every child born in the aftermath of the 3 Wars. The colony's dictator, Novak, sets an example by personally adopting two children with disabilities. Their belief system is a blend of Christianity and a Jedi-like religion, and they strongly align themselves with the will of their current leader, Novak.

Wayferers

They are wandering groups that left Stepantsminda on foot to spread its creed through the world but have grown increasingly nihilistic over time and now preach death through pleasure therefore killing people through sex.

Breckenridge

The population primarily consists of mathematicians who have deliberately chosen to live in seclusion. Among them is Jennifer Granger, who was born and raised in this community. Fascinated by the work and charisma of Fukumoto, she eventually volunteered to join the Mars mission.

Okunevo

The society adheres to a pantheistic and animist belief system, placing their faith solely in natural phenomena such as wind and fire. They reject scientific thinking entirely and enforce a rule that all members must wear masks within the colony as a symbol of repentance for the arrogance displayed by past generations who sought to attain god-like status.

Stepantsminda

It is a colony devoted to the pursuit of hedonistic pleasures, guided by the motto of its founder, Percy Adams, a 24-year-old woman of American descent: "Since life is inevitably fleeting, one might as well embrace enjoyment." The inhabitants of Stepantsminda prioritize the simple pleasures of life and have little interest in combat or academic pursuits. Their primary focus is on savoring life's experiences, dedicating minimal effort to meet their basic sustenance needs as they embrace the impending reality of mortality.

Mars

For over 50 years, Fukumoto has been extending invitations to Earth's most brilliant minds, urging them to join him on Mars and assist in his ambitious "Terra Formation Program." This program aims to transform Mars into a planet resembling Earth, a project spanning a millennium. However, faced with numerous rejections, Fukumoto grapples with his own moral principles and human nature. Eventually, he decides that the "Terra Formation Program" will proceed regardless, even if it means enforcing cooperation and resorting to slave labor to execute the project.

New Bahia

After people fled Argentina to Antarctica during the wars, a virus outbreak left them blind. Lisa Lobotka, a Consul of the Triumvirate, controls the colony. She is a 24-year-old Argentinian with Polish ancestry, blond and beautiful, wearing Grizzly fur, armed with knives and axes, and sporting an eye patch. The underground habitats are like mirrored houses, reflecting every passing person, and the creatures there have adapted to living without sight. The sky in Antarctica has a light green hue.

Merindol

The Merindol Colony, nestled in the Italian Alps, operates under an intense meritocratic ethos, exiling those unable to withstand internal and external competition. A schism emerges within the colony, with the majority rejecting all forms of religion and the intangible, while a minority acknowledges mysterious forces beyond human control.

Central to the narrative are key characters:

Sonia Contado (32 years old):**
Born in the Iberian Peninsula, Sonia is a determined chemist striving to develop a formula that increases oxygen and reduces CO2. Limited resources and information challenge her pursuit, fueled by the knowledge passed down from her late father, Alvaro. Unaware of the dark secrets linking her father and Akihiro, Sonia's resolve is tested when she discovers a plot to abduct her for the Terra Formation Program on Mars.

**Henry Grigher (35 years old):**
Of English origin, Henry is Sonia's companion and a non-scientist chef and bodyguard in Merindol. Driven by rage after losing his family in the War for Air, Henry secretly conspires against Sonia.

**Kurgan Ignatov (42 years old):**
A tunnel farmer of Russian origin by day and a clandestine science student by night, Kurgan harbors a silent love for Sonia. His dedication to supporting her research adds a layer of complexity to their dynamic.

**Maria Contado (7 years old):**
Sonia's daughter attends school in Merindol but tragically dies, causing a lasting impact on Sonia's stability.

The overarching narrative unveils the secrets of the Algae Experiment, a collaboration between Alvaro and Akihiro that unintentionally worsened Earth's atmosphere. As the characters grapple with personal and collective challenges, the colony becomes a crucible for survival and unearths hidden connections that reach back to the outbreak of the War for Water in 2030.

Overall Stories and Script about Merindol Colony

Sisimiut

Founded on the principle of "protection," the Sisimiut Colony is a haven where every child born in the aftermath of the three Wars is cherished and safeguarded. Dictator Novak, a former New York pharmacist, leads the colony with a complex blend of compassion and power ambitions. The Sisimiut people adopt a unique belief system combining Christianity and a Jedi-like religion, aligning themselves fervently with Novak's vision for the Righteous Empire.

Key characters in this narrative include:

**Colonel Albert Novak (55 years old):**
Formerly a New York pharmacist, Novak establishes himself as the colony's dictator. Despite his seemingly contradictory nature, he strives to create a protective system for the vulnerable within Sisimiut. Novak adopts two children with disabilities and orchestrates the care of the less fortunate across the colony. However, his quest for power and ambitions to extend Sisimiut's influence create an intricate web of alliances and betrayals. Novak's unrequited love for Sonia, a former Sisimiut resident, adds a personal dimension to his character.

**Novak’s wife:**
A seemingly submissive yet manipulative figure, Novak’s wife plays a pivotal role in the colony's operations. Her influence extends to every aspect of running the colony, and she holds her own agenda.

**Elena Beltrame (37 years old):**
Head of Sisimiut’s Secret Service, Elena admires Novak for his efforts in protecting the vulnerable but harbors different convictions privately. She aspires to take Novak’s wife's place without jeopardizing her position within Sisimiut. Elena seizes opportunities to enhance her influence, even if it means challenging Novak.

**Lieutenant Walter Fritz Lundström (28 years old):**
Of Scandinavian origin, Lieutenant Lundström clandestinely opposes Novak's regime, navigating the shadows to conceal his dissenting opinions.

**Robert Contado:**
Sonia’s 10-year-old son, kidnapped by Novak, grapples with the belief that Novak loves him for who he is, not merely as a bargaining chip. Despite his apparent naivety, Robert keenly observes the peculiar dynamics between Novak and his mother.

As the narrative unfolds, tensions rise within Sisimiut, driven by personal and ideological conflicts, creating a captivating story of power, loyalty, and the pursuit of a righteous empire.
